Make Money Online Creating Mini Niche Sites with WordPress

By MD On May 15, 2010 1 Comment

Today I want to share with you a pretty basic way on how to make money online creating mini niche sites with wordpress.org. Some of my most profitable sites were created using these same exact methods. Checkout this article if you need more information about what WordPress is.

This is a great way for anyone new to internet or affiliate marketing to make their first dollar. After a little experience, you could easily produce a few of these mini niche sites per day and make quite a bit of extra money at home!

I like using WordPress for mini niche blogs because it’s a simple, yet effective way to make quick landing pages that look professional and they rank well in the search engines. If you’re already using WP to blog then why not make some extra money by spending a little time every week creating a mini niche site. Unless you’re already a successful blogger, these mini niche sites will probably end up bringing you more money than you’re blog does, easily.

Let’s get started…….

I’m not going into details or anything like that, I’m going to quickly go over the basic procedures. If you need some extra help, or don’t fully understand everything I’m talking about, then checkout some of my “popular posts” on the sidebar to the right or leave a comment.

1. Find a good affiliate product or service that pays out pretty well. I’ve found that clickbank products do quite well, but actually just about any good affiliate offer can work well too.

2. Look for a good domain name that’s relevant to your affiliate offer you chose. Also, choose a name that will help it to rank well in the serp’s.

3. After your domain has properly propagated over, install WP onto it. Should be as easy as a few clicks through your control panel. Depends on which hosting you have.

4. It’s time to find and install a relevant WordPress theme. I have a ton of premium themes but I also use the FREE Wp themes as well. Just depends on the affiliate product I am creating a niche site for. You may want to checkout this affiliate theme, which allows you to quickly and easily create just about any niche site using WP.

5. There are many different formats that you can use to make your niche site. I prefer the review style because it’s quick, simple and converts quite easily. Now there are two different types of review styles that are best. The “single review style” where you do a review and only write about the affiliate product you chose. Show the value of the product and the benefits for purchasing the product or service. Actually owning or purchasing the service or product first will make your review more believable and convert better, but not absolutely necessary.

Then there’s the “multiple comparison review style”. This is where you would choose usually 3 affiliate products that are all similar. Let’s say you are using a health niche, choose 3 products that help people lose weight. You do a little review and show the value of all three usually in a ordered list from #1 being the best product and the product you actually want them to purchase. All the way down to the #3, last product. This style allows your visitors to compare similar products and gives you a higher chance of making a sale. Trust me, it works!

Other than writing compelling content that presells your affiliate offer, it helps to add any relevant visuals. Like videos, images, background theme, header image and even banners from your affiliate product.

Another thing many affiliates like to add is a “optin-form” (giving your visitors something FREE if they sign-up like any relevant ebook or report will increase sign-ups) this will allow you to stay in contact with them and hopefully make a purchase with you later on.

6. Now it’s time to get traffic to your WP niche site that you just created. Here’s a plus for this type of site, you can get organic traffic to it via the search engines, bookmarking on social media sites, blog commenting and articles. Also, these type of “mini niche sites” can do well for Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising for certain keywords. Google Adwords is my favorite ppc program.

TIPS – the more value and insight you provide, the better. Also, don’t make your niche site look like a sales pitch. The more natural (meaning not just trying to make a sale thru your affiliate link) it looks to the reader, the better it will convert.

If you’re a internet or affiliate marketer already, you probably made dozens of these niche sites using WordPress. But for the new bloggers who use WP already, but never made a mini niche site, should definitely give this a try and you should be able to make some extra money on the side. I’ve found creating and marketing these type of sites can help sharpen your internet marketing skills, which you can also implement on your blogs.

What to Write About in a Blog – How to Create Killer Content

By MD On April 22, 2010 No Comments

One of the first questions a new blogger asks is, what to write about in a blog? I had the same question when I was a beginner, and it’s actually one of the reasons that kept me from creating a blog in the first place. I want to share some ideas and tips on how to create killer content for your blog or website, that have helped me.

What knowledge do you possess and what can you leverage right now?

When you are first starting out, you should think of your skills, (writing it down would be even better) hobbies, passions, connections and knowledge that you already have that you can leverage for your blogs content. This will give you ideas on what you could or may want to write about for a blog. The more you know about something, will allow you to be more credible when you are writing your content about your chosen topic. This will allow you to look like an expert right off the bat, without having to do to much research first. However, choosing something you are interested in but don’t know to much about can work too. Maybe you have sources and connections that can teach you more about your topic and give you insight.

I just wanted to add, most successful bloggers online started off writing about something they have a passion for. It’s pretty easy to get burned out really quickly if you are just trying to make some quick money online. Blogging and making money from a blog can be a lot harder than it looks.

It doesn’t really matter if you can write or not. The more you practice (what better way than by writing in your own blog) and the more you read, the better you’ll become. I totally sucked when I first started blogging, just read some of my first posts on this blog. The more I blogged and read other blogs, I now actually produce some decent content.

Choose one niche or topic

If you don’t have experience as a blogger, then starting your blog off in one niche or topic would be best. Once you’ve narrowed it down to a small list of things you are either interested in or already have knowledge about, it’s time to choose one for your blog. Staying within one topic will help you to get visitors that are interested in the same things and then you can start building a community for your blog. Your blog should also show up in the search engines faster for keywords related to your niche.

Make sure it is a niche or topic that will give you plenty to write about and expand. For instance, this blog “mathewday.com” is about internet marketing and ways to make money online. There are a ton of things for me to write about, all the way to blogging to affiliate marketing.

Unless you purposely want to make a small targeted niche blog with maybe only a few pages for one specific thing. You could also create a personal blog, where it’s more like your journal of rants, opinions and thoughts.

Your first blog posts should include…

You need to remember you are writing for other people, not yourself. Create ORIGINAL and VALUE in your content that others would want to read and share. In your writing, make the person feel as though you are talking to them or like your telling a story. You want to affect your readers in some way through your writing, inspire, help, humor, teach, vent and share your personal experiences. Let them get to know the real you and your personality. Being creative and doing something totally different or in a different way, will get you attention and traffic. Think outside the box.

When you are first beginning your blog, you should begin by adding content that explains what your blog is about. Start adding structure to your blog, you need to build the foundation with Pillar Articles. This would include longer posts that outline your expertise or research for a specific topic. The content should be timeless, informational, factual, and attract other bloggers to link to you as a reference.

If you want to be successful with your blog, you need to take ownership and act as if you are an expert in your field. Do whatever it takes to get there, research, network, learn, experiment, until you have the confidence to become an authority figure in your niche. Now it’s time to put in the work….

Motivation is going to eventually be the #1 factor on whether you continue to add content to your blog regularly and whether you reach success with your blog. I found what works for me is to write down a list of achievable goals you want to reach and when you want to reach them by. Also, write down things that motivate you or why you do anything in Life. It could be for your family, yourself, God, your kids, just to be the best dam blogger in the entire world, or etc….

It also matters on the type of blog or niche you choose to write about. For instance, if it’s a humorous blog, then starting with funny posts right off the bat would be ok.

Ideas to Create Killer Content

  1. Write informational and helpful posts about your topic.
  2. a tutorial on how to do something
  3. a factual post about your niche, include references
  4. throw in some humorous posts once in awhile
  5. Start a little controversy by disagreeing with something a expert wrote about in your niche and sharing your view point on the matter.
  6. Case Study showing what you did, how you did it and what the results were.
  7. Add something personal about you, anything, it’s your birthday, your kids, latest event you went to, etc…..
  8. debunk a myth on your topic
  9. compiled list of several resources and references on just one thing pertaining to your niche
  10. a list of resources, explaining a little about each one
  11. list of helpful references and links
  12. list of helpful ideas, tips and tricks
  13. the latest buzz in your niche
  14. you can do a review on just about anything
  15. product or service review
  16. something you just learned
  17. sharing your expertise
  18. giving your opinion or looking at something at a different angle and sharing  your thoughts
  19. look at your competition and see what they are writing about, good way to get ideas
  20. write posts for the beginners
  21. write posts for the experienced
  22. share your latest experiment or experience
  23. compile a post with links to your best articles
  24. write about your failures or what not to do
  25. a post that inspires your readers
  26. answer a question from one of your readers
  27. link baits – posts specifically made for getting backlinks to your blog
  28. do extensive research on just one particular thing and write about what you learned and found, include references
  29. write about your success and how you achieved it
  30. Allow others to Guest Post on your blog
  31. an interview with an expert or authority figure in your niche
  32. answer a question someone would be looking for
  33. do a collection of posts from other bloggers all on the same topic with small descriptions and links to them
  34. latest current events for your niche
  35. compare two or more things together and show their likenesses and differences

Don’t forget to add some video and images to your blog too.

Include Keywords and SEO

While writing your content for your blog, make sure you are implementing the correct on site SEO, adding keywords to your titles and throughout your content. Go here if you have no idea what I’m talking about, learn how to get traffic to your blog for FREE and about SEO.

How often should I write?

Just about everyone has a different opinion on this matter. However, I’ve learned that the search engines, like Google, will start to love and visit your blog more often if you post regularly and often. I don’t think posting daily is necessary but if you can keep up with it, then do it. I suggest adding a new post at least once every few days and then sticking to that routine.

I hope this article helps and gives you ideas on what to write about in a blog. What are some things or ideas that help you to create Killer content?

By MD On March 5, 2010 14 Comments

A common question, especially for new internet marketers and bloggers is, how to get web traffic to your website or blog for FREE? I decided to write a short post on the best ways that I get FREE traffic to my sites. Even though I also get a majority of my traffic from PPC with Google Adwords, it’s not really a recommended method for beginners trying to increase their traffic, so I only listed FREE methods that I and just about every other successful blogger or internet marketer uses too.

Killer Content – Yeah, this is pretty much a no brainer, I had to add it in here somewhere. I’ve learned from my experience that Content is really where everything begins. Without original, valuable, engaging and high quality content, then there’s really no reason to get traffic in the first place. No one is going to read it, suggest others to read it, or link to it as a source/reference. Great content even for a 500 word landing page (lp) is crucial because you need to pre-sell your visitors by engaging, connecting with them and that’s pretty much all done through your content. Killer content, just by itself can lead to a ton of targeted traffic to your websites from visitors letting others know about it.

SEO – Search engine optimization consists of several things. It basically means optimizing your website and content so people can find it on the Search Engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. The search engines will probably eventually be your #1 source of FREE targeted traffic.

How do you get your website on the front page of the Search Engines?

  1. Keywords (KW) – are very important because this is how your website will show up on the front page of the search engines or search engine results pages (SERP’s). When you “Google something” the words or phrase you entered would be considered keywords or a “keyword phrase”. Now there are “keywords” and there are “Long Tail keywords” (consist of 3 or more words and creates a “keyword phrase”). Now long tail keywords will have less competition and will be much easier for a beginner to get on the front page of the search engines. “Long tailed Keywords” will bring in targeted traffic because they are searching for something in particular, not just using a broad keyword. A competitive KW like “Money” would be very hard to get on the front page of the serp’s, but a “long tail keyword” like “make money at home for beginners” has much less competition and would be so much more easier to land your site on the front page for that search term. You need to make sure you are adding the keyword or long tailed keywords throughout your content, but making it look natural and not forcing your KW’s all over. Adding no more than a 5% keyword ratio to regular words in your content, and make sure you use them in your titles.
  2. Backlinks – The more backlinks you get from other relevant and high PR websites will give your site more authority and credibility from the search engines. This will help move your site closer to the front of the serp’s. Include the keywords in your “anchor text” (words used in link) for your links pointing back to your sites, which will give your website more authority for those keywords, and help boost your site to the front page of Google for those KW’s.

Social Media – This is the Hottest method of getting traffic, currently. Social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Stumbleupon and etc… can bring a lot of traffic quickly and for FREE. The social media sites are so powerful and effective because people spread information virally. It takes just one person to visit your site or blog and they could start a chain reaction from telling their friends on social media sites. Make sure you get your best articles/sites bookmarked in some of the popular social media sites, and make it easy for your visitors to do the same with “bookmark buttons” and apps. Becoming a Authority figure, being helpful and interacting with as many people as you can, will greatly increase your fan base or follower count. Obviously the more loyal followers the better for your business.

Communities – Networking and engaging with other like minds is crucial for success online. This will also lead to targeted traffic from referrals and recommendations from others who know you. It will also give you connections and open opportunities that you may have never gotten before. There are so many different communities out there, just join some and get involved. Social media and networking sites are great places for you to join, blogging communities, forums etc… Some examples: squidoo, hubpages, blogcatalog, mybloglog and Linkedin.

Viral – Getting traffic virally is just smart and effective marketing. One of the best ways of doing this is by creating a Ebook or Report and giving it away for FREE. People will most likely tell others about it and it just keeps on spreading like a wild fire. Just make sure they clearly know who you are and what you’re main sites are in the ebook/report. This will also allow you to build a list quite easily with a high quality ebook.

Article Directories – Are great to get traffic and backlinks to your websites. Just write some relevant and beneficial articles with keywords in your anchor text for your links pointing back to your sites. Probably the most popular and powerful article directory is Ezine Article’s, but here’s a sweet list of dofollow article directories for ya to use.

Blog Commenting – Works like a charm, if done correctly. Make sure you are leaving helpful and beneficial comments on relevant blogs. Engage the blog owner with what you thought about the post or add relevant feedback about it. Not just “good post”. Become a regular to the blog and leave comments often and on as many blogs as you can find that are relevant. Some of the Blogs are Dofollow and you get PR juice from the backlink from them.

Forums – Not only can you learn a lot from a forum and network with others, but most of them allow you to leave a signature or a link to your websites at the bottom of every reply or thread you leave. Give helpful advice, ask good questions and people will click on your signature and checkout your sites. Here’s a sweet dofollow forums list.

Guest Posting – This method alone could put you and your website on the map. If you get approved to guest post on the right blog, and given the right audience, then you’ll be engaging readers that probably would’ve never found your site. Not only does guest blogging give you a ton of exposure, but also gives you some nice backlinks from a relevant site. Guest blogging is very popular right now. Usually the popular blogs will have a page or link about how to guest post on their blog. If they don’t, then it doesn’t hurt to send them a quick email and ask. Use high quality, original and valuable articles for a guest post, but at the same time make sure it compliments their blog. You want to use your best articles for guest blogging, especially if you get on a authoritative blog for your niche.

Press Releases – There are several good FREE press release sites. Here’s a whole list of them FREE Press Release distribution sites. Press Releases will allow the media to learn about your websites, product or services, quickly. Write in a more professional and informational format for your press release. Not in a review or sales page style.

Pinging - A pinging service like Ping-o-matic, which is FREE, let’s multiple search engines and services know that you just updated your blog or added new content. The popular sites like Technorati, Sphere and many others, will be pinged every time you update your content and people at these sites will be able to read your latest posts. This is automatically done if you use WordPress. It’s under writing in your WP dashboard.

Those are my top FREE methods for getting unlimited amount of targeted traffic to my websites and blogs. Please share any other methods or sources that I’ve left out that helps bring FREE targeted traffic to your sites.

How to Easily Create a WordPress Blog with Hostgator

By MD On March 1, 2010 4 Comments

Here’s a post on how to create a WordPress blog with hostgator hosting, easily. I wanted to show how simple and easy it really is to have your very own professional looking blog in a short amount of time. I had just setup another blog the other day, which only took me a few minutes, and I was thinking about how intimidated and confused I was when I first tried making my own blog. Most beginners don’t realize how simple and quick it really is to setup your very own blog or website using hostgator and wordpress.

Why Not use a FREE hosted blog?

Yes, there are several places to create a FREE hosted blog, but there are several disadvantages of not having your very own “self hosted blog” on your own domain name. With a FREE Hosted blog you are sharing their hosting and domain name. That means they can have complete control over your blog, so making money from it will be tough, or not even allowed. You won’t have a control panel for you to have complete access over your sites or be able to see all your stats. It’s very unprofessional and many won’t take your website seriously. Make sure you consider these things if you are planning on creating a online business, or making real money from your blog down the road. Also, having your own “self hosted blog” will make you more serious, committed and motivated on reaching success online. A FREE hosted blog url will be look like this, let’s say I’m using blogspot, then my domain name for this blog would be: mathewday.blogspot.com instead of www.mathewday.com.

The basic 3 things that you will need to create your own blog are, a domain name, hosting, and a blog platform. A domain name is the url like for my blog it’s mathewday.com. Hosting is where your blog is being stored at and allows the public to see it on the internet. Blogging platform will allow you to design, build and add content to your blog easily and quickly.

Why use WordPress (WP) the #1 blog platform?

WordPress is the simplest and fastest way for anyone to create professional looking blogs or websites with the least amount of effort. There are two different wordpress sites. WordPress.com is a place to create a “FREE hosted blog” and then there is WordPress.org which is for “self hosted blogs” and you will need your own hosting and domain. WordPress is the #1 blogging platform used by newbies and the Top Professional Bloggers. You don’t need to know any coding, programming or be a designer to have a awesome looking blog. WP uses plugins, which allow you to add just about anything to your blog with just a few clicks. Changing your theme or layout is easily done with the click of the mouse. Oh yeah, WordPress is 100% FREE, all you need is your own hosting.

Why Hostgator (HG)?

Hostgator is the #1 hosting company with millions of domains being hosted. They’ve received numerous awards and is the most dependable company I’ve ever used. You can host unlimited websites on one hosting account. WordPress can be installed with just a few clicks using HG, and this is the hosting I use as well. I changed over to Host gator a few years ago when I started having problems with my old hosting company and I couldn’t ever get in touch with their customer service. Everyone was telling me to changeover to hostgator, especially for WP blogs. Their customer service is intelligent and the BEST I’ve ever dealt with.  They have 24/7 live support, or you can contact them by email and phone. They make everything very easy for beginners with all their tutorials, forum and their easy to use Cpanel- it’s where you’ll be able to have full control over your websites or blogs. Very inexpensive pricing and features that can’t be beat. With prices starting at only $5 dollars a month, but I’ve got some coupon codes and discounts for you to use below.

Here are the basic steps below to Create your WordPress blog with hostgator……….

First off, if you don’t have your own hosting or want to transfer from your old host to HostGator then Click Here first and get a HG account. You’ll have to choose a domain name for your hosting account if this is your first one with them. Choose a domain name that either will be the name for your blog, brand name for your business or you can choose to just use your own name, like I did for this blog. One of my hosting accounts with HG is under this domain name “mathewday.com” but I have like 20 other domain names under this one hosting account. I suggest you get at least the Baby Plan which allows you to add unlimited websites or domains, plus all the other extras like, free transfers, FREE templates, site builder and much more. Choose whatever plan that best suits your needs.

I know of 2 Legit Hostgator discounts or coupon codes that still work currently. The first one is a 20% off your hosting purchase. This will be deducted automatically when you total everything up at checkout. This is a nice discount they give to new HG customers only. You’ll only get the 20% off one time, so you might want to pay for more than 1 month. The other discount is pay only 1 cent for your first month and you need to add coupon code wordpress if that no longer is working then enter hgc25 at the checkout and pay only 1 cent for your first month.

Now, for those of you who just opened a new account with HG it’s going to take a little time for your domain name servers (dns) to propagate properly before you can see your site/blog online. Also, you’ll get a email with details on how to get into your Cpanel (control panel). This shouldn’t take to long and if you have any questions about it just talk to your HG support and they’ll let you know the status.

How to install WordPress on hostgator

Once you have access, log into your cpanel for your HG hosting, scroll down and click on the Fantistico De Luxe icon in the software/services section.

Now, once your in, look on the left hand side and you’ll see all the different scripts you can install onto your domain. Click the wordpress link, then click on the new installation link and now choose what domain name you want to install wordpress onto. Fill out “Admin access data”, this is what you’ll need to access your WP dashboard, so remember this name and password. Fill out the “Base configuration” with the name you want shown for your posts that you write, email address and your website’s domain name for your blog. Click install if everything looks correct and then enter a email for them to send this information so you’ll have it just in case you need it in the future. Now you’re done and just installed WP on your new domain.

After you’ve installed WordPress onto your domain name, enter the domain name into your address bar and checkout your new WordPress blog.   Now look for the “Meta” section on the right sidebar and “login” to your WP blog. This is where you’ll be able to get into your WP dashboard and add content, change things around and change your theme/template with just a few clicks. Enter the admin nickname and password you previously created when you were installing wordpress onto this domain.

Once you are in your WP dashboard scroll down and look on the left for the section that says appearance. Now just click on “add new themes” and you’ll be able to find new themes or layouts and install them with a few clicks.

How to install WordPress if you already have hostgator hosting, but added another domain

This is the same steps you would take if you already had hostgator hosting and just added a domain to your hosting account. If you purchase another domain name with hostgator, remember to first change the dns for the domain to your hostgator servers after purchasing, and do a addon domain in your cpanel. After you do those two things, then you can add wordpress onto it just like above.

Now all you need to do is add content, SEO, and work on getting traffic to your blog. I know you’ll be happy with hostgator hosting and with wordpress. Honestly I barely have made any money online with my FREE hosted blogs, but once I got my own domains and used wordpress, I’ve created a real online business and do this full time now. I hope my tutorial on how to create a wordpress blog with hostgator was helpful and not to hard to follow. Let me know if you have any questions by sending me a email through the contact button on top.

10 Proven Ways to Make Money Online – Beginner to Advanced

By MD On October 3, 2009 4 Comments

Happy-Couple-MoneyThe 21st Century has opened the Doors Wide Open for entrepreneurs and marketers alike to make nice incomes from the comfort of their homes, online.  But what about for the rest of the world who aren’t computer savvy?

With the widespread of internet users growing each year there never has been a better time to Earn Money Online and make money on the internet even without any Prior Training or Experience.

There are so many reasons why Making Money Online is becoming so ever popular from all walks of life.  But mostly, it gives just about anyone a shot at becoming their own boss, making a nice side income, becoming a public figure, more free time, financial freedom or practically whatever you want to achieve from it.

If you have a little ambition, work ethic and imagination then you just may soon join the millions who already make money at home online.

I listed ten ways to make money on the computer by skill level 1 being the easiest and 10 the hardest

1. Online Surveys and Data Entry – This is probably one of the easiest and fastest ways to make some extra side income on the computer.  Pretty much you’ll take surveys for companies, preview and try new products, shop, give opinions in focus groups and do data entry.  Some people are making good money doing this but most just supplement their incomes with this method. CashCrate is (100% FREE to join) and quite easy to make money from, and here are two other similar places you may want to checkout as well Global Data Entry and Survey Scout, which charge a small amount for membership.  All three companies provide you training, and all the resources you need to get started.

2. Writer – One thing all internet companies and marketers need is content.  With the internet booming, makes it easy for writers (beginner – expert) to make easy money on the internet.  Almost everyone with a established blog or website hires someone to help or write all their content.

Including;  writing articles, press releases, content for their sites and etc….  You can also earn money online by writing for hubpages , eHow and squidoo.  It’s really Simple, FREE, and Fun to do.  All you do is write articles and get paid a small percentage from ads they put on them.  If you were interested in freelance writing checkout these places Freelancewriting, digitalpoint and put up a ad or reply to one.

3. Google Adsense – Have you ever wondered what all those ads on some websites are or come from?  You’ll usually see a “ads by Google” near them.  You make money by placing these ads on your site or blog and when people click on them you will make a small amount for every click.  All they need to do is click on them.  NEVER click your own ads, you will be banned for life from Google.  It’s really easy to start up.

If you are new to this then go here to pick a place to make a  FREE website or blog and then join here Google Adsense, FREE to join as well, then just start writing about things you are interested in and correctly place the ads on your site.  They should automatically match relevant ads to your content.

4. Social Media – This has grown immensely,  just like the internet has in the past few years.  It pretty much involves networking, helping/sharing info with others who are interested in the same thing.  I will tell you right now, this method for making extra money at home will be more successful and more productive with experience, But there are many newbies in “social media marketing” SMM that are earning money daily.

If you don’t have experience then you should start off with Twitter.  I believe it’s the easiest Social media platform to earn money online from.  Getting twitter software like  Tweet adder will greatly help you make money faster and grow an army of followers.  Go here if you want to learn more Twitter Tips and Tools.

5. Affiliate Marketer – Market other people’s/companies products or services and make money for your successful efforts.  This is one of my favorite ways to earn money online.  I also do everything else on this list or have done in the past as well.  All you need to do is signup and join a program.  You will be given a unique url which will track all visitors and sales that come from your special link/url.  Why is affiliate marketing so popular?

You don’t have to worry about anything except making sales thru your unique affiliate link.  That’s about it.  Everything else will be handled through the owner or a third party for transactions.  Beware of joining some programs that don’t pay you after you make sales.  It’s happened to me before and I was “steamed” but here’s a few of my favorite programs that are reliable, trustworthy and have a ton of products More Niche, Clickbank affiliate program, Paydotcom and CJ.

6. Selling your Services and Freelancing – Do you have any skills or knowledge you could share and make money on the internet from?  This could include but not limited to SEO services, coaching, writing, selling/making websites or just about anything people need help with.  Easy way to startup a little independent business on the side or Full Time Income.  This is pretty easy to start.  All you really need to do is checkout some freelance sites and reply or post your service.  You could use sites like craigslist, sitepoint, elance or “digital point” like mentioned in #2.

7. Blogging – According to the Wall Street Journal 1.7 Million “Americans make money blogging” and more are added to that number daily.  This isn’t just a Hobby anymore and the cool thing about it, especially for newbies, there’s many good programs that help you earn money blogging.  This isn’t as easy as it looks.  Trust me, but with proper knowledge, experience and diligence you’ll be able to become successful.  Here are two legit fast track programs FREE Blog Profits Blueprint and Make Money Blogging that will guide you along the right path.

8. Ebay – I think just about everyone has bought or sold something with Ebay.  This was one of the first ways for me to make some extra money online.  It takes some experimenting and research but pretty much self explanatory for getting started but making good profit will take some effort and having Good Products to sell.  You can sell just about anything on ebay.  My two tips would be, use good keywords for your ad, especially in the title and find good wholesale companies to find popular products.  Here’s my favorite site to Find Hot Ebay Wholesale Products to make more money with Ebay.

9. Start your own Business/E-commerce site – since the boom of the internet, starting your own business online or having your own E-commerce site has given many people an opportunity to live the dream.  You can pretty much have any kind of online business or E-commerce website.  Many people start their own Ebook, SEO, graphic design businesses all the way to stay at home moms who own their online stores that sell t-shirts and crafts.  With little overhead, a virtual store open 24/7 and entire world as your store front this is a great way to make money online.  Here’s a great  program SiteSell to help you create a successful internet business, all in one.

10. Internet Marketer – Pretty much combines all or any of the ways of marketing and making money on the internet. This field is highly competitive, always changing environment and very challenging. But not impossible, I know of Kids who Make More Money than their own parents ever dreamed of making and Grandparents who Make Money on auto-pilot Comfortably in their Homes. The risks can be great but the rewards may be far greater.

They now have actual college degrees you can get for internet marketing and there’s online programs that train and coach you but come with hefty price tags.  You could also do what millions have done before and that is learn on their own from trial and error but most will give up within a few months from frustration or run out of money just from experimenting.

You could find an inexpensive fast track program that guarantee you results but most are full of  B.S. and really don’t teach you much but here’s one of the few Internet Marketing Fast Track Programs that works and may just be right for you.

I hope you got some new ideas and insight about the ways you could earn money online.  Just make sure you don’t try to take on to much at one time or it’s very easy to get overwhelmed.  If you have the will and determination and know that this is what you want to do, then you should find success.  The skills and knowledge will come later along your journey.  I’m living proof of that.  Do you have any other suggestions or ideas to Make money on the internet?

How to Make Money with clickbank Affiliate Program (Part 2 of 2)

By MD On September 11, 2009 1 Comment

You should have now already joined “Click Bank”, gotten familiar with their website and tools, picked out 1 or a couple products in their marketplace and today will be the day you’ll learn how to Make Extra Money at Home with Clickbank Affiliate Program (Part 2 of 2) . I hope you are excited and ready to Make Money on the Internet with CB and for some of you, today will be the day you start your very own Website and Business.

Missed Part One? …..Go Here—->> Make Money on the Internet with ClickBank Affiliate Program Part 1

Now you need to make a website or landing page for your products that you chose.  This will have information or reviews about your clickbank products using your unique affiliate links.  This will ultimately direct the visitor to the actual cb product where they will be able to purchase the product.

Make-Extra-Money-at-Home

For this tutorial, you will learn to Make a landing page – simple, usually one page website that will presell your CB products.  It’s the first page people see when they find your website.  They are quick and simple to make.  But one of the most effective methods to make extra money at home with click bank affiliate program.

Here’s some examples of what your clickbank landing page could look like below, all of them are for CB products:

I wouldn’t ever copy another website or especially the content.  Search engines especially Google, doesn’t like duplicate content.  Original content that you wrote is always best and plus, usually all the sites will have copyright protection.  If you want to see other examples or similar sites for your click bank product then just type it in google and add reviews at the end.  example:  maverick money makers reviews

Tips on making your website:

As you saw there’s basically two popular ways to make your landing page that work well.

  1. One product review – You do a review or informational site on just one product.
  2. Multiple product review – Usually best with 3 different items but all in the same niche. Example:  niche – make solar panels, then make a landin page with 3 different Click bank choices that teach how to make solar panels.  Rate each product as best to worse like some of the example’s listed for you above.
  3. Your CB product should have affiliates resources for you to use like banners, links graphics and etc… it will usually look something like this found at the end of the description found in the marketplace:  “www.yourCBproduct.com/affiliatesignup.html”

How to make a Effective landing page for your clickbank products:

Now there’s a few ways of doing this for free or with a little money.  The thing about using these FREE Website Platforms below  is that they own your site so you won’t have the same freedom as to having your own website.  Meaning, you are using their hosting and they control your sites.  I don’t mean they will go in and change your actual website but they can ban or close it if they don’t think it’s appropriate.

They control what is and isn’t allowed.  For instance, like squidoo doesn’t allow many of the clickbank products and they will close your site or ban you from their service.   Example of a banned site:   http://www.squidoo.com/maverick-money-makers Squidoo and Hubpages are the most strict.  The others listed below are more lenient.  It’s so much easier to appear on the front pages of Google in the search engine results pages (serps) if you have your own domain and host anyways.

How to pick out Keywords

You need to spend some time picking your key-words or phrases, they will make you or break you.  Go here to learn more about Keywords (exact words people enter in search engine) are very important and you will need to find and use the right ones.  If you don’t, you’ll never make it on the front page of Google organically or without paying money.  Only choose keywords with less than “75,000″ results with quotes around your key words.  The lower the number  the better until you are more experienced.

Put quotes around the keyword or phrase like this “your key-words” into google search engine.  This will allow you to see your competition for those exact words.  Take the Quotes off and redo it.  A lot more results come up, right.  Without them, you will get results for every site with similar words.

After you found a few good keywords or phrases (Make sure you use the best words in the title’s) now you will need to scatter these words you chose throughout your LP or site.  A good ratio is 6% key words to regular words in your content.   Also, put your main words in the beginning of your first paragraph.

How to Pick a Good Domain Name

Picking out a Good Domain name once you choose a website platform for your landing page.  If you had looked at the example’s I showed you above then you probably noticed that all their domain names had the “Click bank product name” somewhere in it.

Example:  “www.your-cb-product-reviews.com”  If you put the name of your CB product in your domain then it will be easier to get on the first page of Google, so think about a good name before you make your final decision.  Another alternative is to pick a name that will go with your niche or market.

Make a FREE website or blog below

I have listed the best places to make a Free website or blog.  In order from the most powerful to the least.  You gotta remember to pick a good domain name but if you are serious about making money on the internet then you should get your own hosting and domain.

For Serious Entrepreneurs and Internet Marketers Only!

Now if you are actually SERIOUS about Making Extra Money at Home and are looking to do this potentially as a Full Time Job or want to make the Most Sales Possible from Affiliate Programs like Clickbank then you need to have your own Domain Name and Hosting.

You will have 100% Full Control over your websites or home business.  You don’t have to worry about being banned or what you write about.  It’s not nearly as complicated as you may think.

You don’t have to be a Webmaster or know a lick of html.  When I got my first hosting and my very own website, I didn’t know squat about html or making a website.  With hostgator, it has been very easy to make websites and blogs with little or no html or website knowledge.  Also, the older your domain is the more valuable it will be in the future.  Earlier you start the faster you can become successful with a Legit Internet Business and you’ll be able to make extra money at home sooner than you thought.

It is also one step closer to becoming a successful internet marketer, to be successful in this field you gotta be All In 100% or it’s going to be a frustrating journey for you.  You will eventually need to get your own hosting and domain so you can start branding yourself and company anyways.   This will allow you to make multiple websites, landpages or even be able to start a blog, like this one.

I suggest you use Hostgator for your hosting.  I have Two Host accounts with them and have been using them for a few years now.  I love their customer support, reliability and all the extra features/tools you get.  Checkout there Season Special Promotion right now  Hostgator Season Special

Here’s just a few of the reasons why you should get Hosting from Host Gator:

  • Many hosting plans great for newbies to advanced webmasters
  • Very Affordable, Hosting starting at only $5 a mth
  • Host Unlimited Sites with one host

  • Hosting over 2 million domains currently, Reliable and Trustworthy!
  • FREE Website Builder

You will also need a FTP client – (file transfer protocol) allows you to move files to and from your hosting.  You gotta have one.  If you got a Hostgator account then they have many places for you to get one or you can use this FREE Core FTP …. I’ve used it and for free software, it’s been awesome.  I also have and use the “smart ftp” and “cute ftp”  which I use the most.  You only really need one.

How to Make Money with Clickbank Affiliate Program (Part 1 of 2)

By MD On September 1, 2009 1 Comment

I have made money online in many ways and by using many different affiliate programs.  If you are interested in the fastest and easiest way to make money online then this post is for you.  Make money with clickbank affiliate program because I’ve made a lot of money with them, some of my easiest sales have come from them and Clickbank or CB is one of the first affiliate programs I and every other internet marketer started off with.

A little history on “Clickbank“.  They were founded in 1998 which is a Huge feat in itself for surviving the dotcom crash a year or two later.  They are the #1 site for online digital products or “ebooks”.  Their website is one of top websites on the net for the most traffic and visitors daily.

What does Affiliate Mean? Simply means someone who markets other people’s/companies products, services or etc…  and gets paid a percentage for their successful efforts.

Why use CB?………almost every country and anyone can join them within a few minutes, ebooks are the easiest to sale and the most demanding product on the internet.  Information is the #1 reason why people use the internet.   You get paid at least 50% – 75% per sale.  I don’t know how much you know about business but that’s almost unheard of for a offline or online business.  PROOF you’ll make money and get paid.  They have paid out well over 1 Billion Dollars to their clients.  A sale is made every 3 seconds and over 26,000 purchases a day.

You can choose how and when you want to be paid.  Choose to get paid weekly, direct deposit by check or whatever you choose.  There is over 12,000 products to choose from.  Lastly you don’t have to worry about getting paid because they act as a third party for handling the transactions for all the products in the clickbank marketplace.  You don’t have to rely on the actual owner of the websites to pay you.

Direct linking to the sales pages or CB products is allowed.  This means you don’t even need a website but having one will increase your sales ten fold.  There is really no other GOOD program online that allows direct linking.

Make sure you read their policies and tos when you join there are a few rules you’ll need to be familiar with.  Main one people miss is the part for new CB affiliates before you get paid.  Before you get your first check you gotta reach the requirements below

ClickBank will withhold payment of any account balance until the following criteria is met:

  • Sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers; and,
  • Sales made with two different payment methods (either Visa, MasterCard, or PayPal). Note: PayPal purchases do not count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers.

Don’t worry you’ll reach there criteria easier and faster than you think if you follow what I say and are serious about making money on the internet with Click Bank’s affiliate program.

You can choose to be an affiliate – selling other people’s products.  There’s over 12,000 products to choose from so finding something for your niche or interest will be a cinch.

LEARN About becoming a Clickbank Vendor Here – meaning you can create your own digital product and have it included in the CB marketplace.  You can make a TON of money quickly making your own product.  You should check it out maybe it’ll be something you will be interested in doing in the near future.  It’s not nearly unreachable as it may sound.

This will allow people to purchase your own products and also allows the CB affiliates (over 100,000) to sell it for you as well.  I have seen a few almost newbies in internet marketing become millionaires from creating one GREAT product within a year or two of  being in the internet marketing game.

Start your Journey to Make Money on the Internet with Click Bank

1. Join Clickbank Affiliate program first off if you haven’t joined already click the “Promote Products” Make sure you put some time into thinking of your affiliate ID or username because this will be what shows up in the url for your affiliate link.  Choose something professional looking and blend in.  People will be able to see your unique affiliate link or ID in the bottom left of their monitor and also will see it at the bottom of the salespage.

Don’t use your real name or something bogus or you will get less sales.  A good username would be “secure1″ …… A bad username example would be “clown1″. Another good way to choose a user name is pick something that would make sense for your niche or market.

This is what your affiliate CB link will look like “http://Affiliate.vendor.hop.clickbank.net

You see the red affiliate part that’s where your username or id will be seen and the vendor part will be for the product you choose.  Now you probably understand why it’s important to pick a good nickname/username.

2. Checkout their “marketplace” to look at all the different products you can choose to sell on the internet.  Okay now it’s time to get familiar with clickbank before you start to make money with their affiliate program.  Once you are in the marketplace You need to think of a “niche” or category….electronics, health & fitness, green energy or etc….  that you want to start promoting or making money from.  As a newbie I suggest you pick out a niche or category that you are into or know a lot about.  After you choose a category now start looking at the products and you’ll notice a gray strip below each product that looks like this below:

[$/sale: $30.01 | Future $: - | Total $/sale: $30.01 | %/sale: 75.0% | %refd: 70.0% | grav: 250.01]

  • 1st section means amount you make as an affiliate per sale
  • 2nd I believe means the amount you’ll get paid for a recurring product….don’t pay attention to this right now most are all blank anyways
  • 3rd again is total amount per sale you’ll make
  • 4th means % amount of the product you’ll make per sale so like this example above you will make 75% percent
  • 5th means % amount of sales made by other internet marketers not the owner
  • 6th gravity means how many other click bank affiliates are selling that same product.

Now remember if you see high gravity that probably means it’s a HOT product and sales really well but this also means this is a very competitive product as well.  I suggest doing this.  Pick out just one or two products for now, your choice High gravity, low gravity or choose one in between.  Anything below 40  for grav: is low and anything above that number is high.

Now before settling on this product you need to look at the sales page, thoroughly.  Ask yourself these questions….. Does it look like a good salespage?  Would you purchase this product if you saw this sales page?  One note:  you need to look at everything thru the eyes of the consumer not necessarily by what you think is good or like, just keep that in mind.  I almost forgot choose something that pays good money.  At least 25$ a sale I don’t really waste my time with low paying items.

Many gurus online tell clickbank newbies to start off with low gravity products but many of them are really crappy or hard to sell.  The way I choose my products is by finding popular products for the moment.  Example maybe a brand new product, what are people looking for “right now” like going green products etc…. or products I see or hear that are doing well.

I’ll give you some resources and forums on my next post about good places for CB affiliates to talk about things like that.  Make sure you get familiar with clickbank’s affiliate program, their tools and their entire website and on my next post I will continue with “Make Extra Money at Home with Clickbank Affiliate Program Part 2“.   You’ll learn about how to make a landing page or website to send traffic to with your click bank affiliate hop links or url and you’ll be one step closer to Make Extra Money on the Computer.  I will also give you plenty of resources to get you going  and many good places I use myself to get traffic and links.

10 Ways to Get Backlinks to a New Website

By MD On June 12, 2009 No Comments

There are hundreds of very important things to consider for a new site to be properly SEO optimized for the search engines, especially if you want a good place in the (Serps) free traffic. We all know how important SEO is for your site or blog especially when starting a new one.

You want to make sure it gets the proper launch.  One of the most important or The most important thing you need to work on is Getting Quality Backlinks to your site“.  In my opinion the most important to get Higher Pagerank….and pagerank equals a better spot on the (serps)  But How do you get backlinks to a new website with little traffic or no traffic?

I am currently on a slow but steady SEO backlink campaign for this fairly new blog.(that’s the way to do it)  I have had sites in the past on the very first page of google for the Main Buying Keywords.  Sorry no pics, back then I never thought I would get to this point or go public with a blog.

I am going to need some nice PR for this blog especially in this niche. (very competitive niche) and I’m going for the Hardest keywords for this niche. I’ll tell you this, starting off is going to be your hardest and most frustrating time.  You have no traffic, no pagerank and you have to get your site’s name out to build credibility.

People aren’t going to just volunteer and give you a backlink from their High pr site, they probably could care less about you and why would they want to help you?….You’re going to be their competition.

Don’t get discouraged.  Like many successful Entrepreneurs say “If you don’t have any backlinks, traffic or sales then GO Get Them” be resilient, Never Give Up and Think outside the Box.  These ten methods below will also help!

Ten Surefire Ways to Get Backlinks even if you have a Brand New Site with NO Traffic

1. Leave comments on other blogs with dofollow for links (make sure you don’t spam and offer advice or your own opinion & add your link)  Finding blogs that are dofollow and with good PR in your niche can be tough, especially when most people think half of all the blogs are dofollow when they actually aren’t.  Here’s a inexpensive little tool that I used to get a List of TRUE Dofollow Blogs Blog Comment Demon everyone I have recommended it to have been pleased.

Oh yeah, if the blog has a  Top Commentator Plugin it will count every post comment link as a separate page – meaning if you’re on that list, then instead of just getting one backlink from the entire site, you get a backlink for every comment you left for every post. I know some people getting like 100′s or in the 1000′s of backlinks in a very short amount of time. Pretty Sweet!

2. Talk a little smirky or brash about the Big Dogs or your competition on your posts. Don’t overdue it or be disrespectful (you don’t want to make enemies with the Big Dogs) but this does work. How?…. well maybe they hear it from the grapevine, social media or so forth and then guess what, they throw a little post about your wannabe site on their blog and look what you got, a FREE backlink and some new traffic.

3. Write articles with Ezinearticles.com a PR6 site. Very powerful takes a few days before your articles are accepted but who cares it’s FREE and High quality backlinks.

4. Make Squidoo.com lenses a PR7 site about your niche and backlink to your site.

5. Use Hubpages.com a PR6 site and backlink to your site.

6. Make your own websites or blogs and backlink to your own site. Works better than you think.

7. Make posts or Static pages on your site with a HUGE List of, for example (100 best WP plugins make it thorough) also considered as a linkbait. That way people backlink because they want to refer to the list and or they point others to your site and tell them they can find it on your list.  Works like a charm!

8. You can always rely on the easiest method and buy backlinks, if you got the money then why not.

9. Comment in forums and make sure you put your website’s link in your signature. Free backlinks and traffic. (2 good ones- (forums.digitalpoint.com) and (warriorforum.com) – great way to make some sales as well!

10. Find other new sites like yours and in similar niches and ask if they want to trade links. Forums are a good place to find people usually they will have section just for that.

Okay, I hope you got some new ideas on how to get backlinks to even a brand new site and of course there are other ways but this is my top ten list.

How to Find Keywords – Buying Words for “Money Traffic”

By MD On June 10, 2009 No Comments

Keywords are one of the most important parts of SEO and getting organic traffic (free traffic) to your site or blog.  Keywords will help make your site a success or a failure.  You must use the EXACT words or phrases people are typing and searching for or your site may never be found in the (serps) – free traffic.  You will learn the best ways of How to find Keywords and a few good tips.

First off, you need to have laser targeted traffic coming to your site or blog.  Why?…..If you have a site about “how to make money online” and you have keywords that are bringing in traffic from people who are looking for “cars” they probably will leave your site right away and never come back.

You need to find people who are putting the keywords about “how to make money online” or you’re site will never succeed.  It doesn’t matter what your site or business is about “organic foods” etc…. these are just examples of why keywords are so important to bring in the right traffic.

We covered why keywords are important for serps (free traffic) but if you are using PPC (paid advertising) and are looking for keywords for that type of marketing then Keywords are equally as important!

How to Find Keywords – That Make Money!

Now to find the keywords that will bring you “laser targeted traffic” you can use a Free tool from google.  It’s FREE and is good for the beginner or amateur.  You can check it out here -> Google keyword tool

I used that when I first got into internet marketing and it was sufficient for awhile.  But now, in 2009 competition has gotten fierce online and almost everyone and their grandma are trying to make money online or creating their own blogs and sites.

Guess what?…..they all know about the google keyword tool and they are probably using the same keywords you are so that means its harder to get traffic for those keywords and being on the first page of google results pages will be nearly impossible, unless you got mad seo skills.

Here’s one of my secret keyword tools below I use that I found out about a long time ago from a guru.  Let me just add, if you just rely on FREE keyword tools then you won’t ever hit the full potential that your site could have and won’t ever find “Hot buying keywords” cause you will never know about them.

Try it for FREE for a week -> wordtracker this keyword tool will show you keywords that the google keyword tool doesn’t show and it will give a list of “long tailed keywords” – Buying words!.

Long tailed keywords convert to sales so much better than just let’s say “cars” if you throw cars into wordtracker it will popup a HUGE list of keywords that people are searching for, like “1999 ford mustang gt color red in tx” You will find the keywords barely anyone else is using.  Less competition equals More Money!

Here is the other great keyword tool I used, you could reach the  #1 spot on Google results pages within a week.  Very powerful, find keywords and “long tailed keywords” no one else can find.  Seo Elite I hope you gained a little more insight on How to find keywords that will bring in Laser targeted traffic and ultimately put more money in your hands!
