The Truth About Paid Online Survey Sites
I have been experimenting for a couple years now the many different ways to make money online. It seems every year more and more people are learning about the endless opportunities there are to make extra money on the internet from the comfort of your home. Making some extra money from paid online surveys is still a very popular method. Why? Just about anyone can join a survey site no matter your experience and there will always be a need for consumer opinions from companies.
Online paid surveys was the very first way I tried to make some extra money online when I was a beginner to making money on the internet. But since joining my first paid online survey site, which was survey scout btw. I’ve learned a thing or two on what to look for before you join any paid survey site. The main thing I quickly realized after trying out many of them is that not all paid online survey sites are equal. Make sure you always read the fine print, some sites are misleading.
What to check for before you join a Paid Online Survey Site
- do they charge a membership fee just to join
- the minimum amount before payout
- the different opportunities they offer to make money other than just surveys
- how stable the site is, nothing’s worse than a “fly by night” company
- if they have a referral program and how much they pay
- do they have a 2nd tier referral program
- do they offer bonuses
- have a forum
- is their proof that their members make money
Since I’m an affiliate marketer now, there’s many ways for me to make money online, so really I don’t spend to much time with survey sites anymore. And I don’t like steering people in the wrong direction either, so I don’t promote survey sites that charge a membership fee which could make me some decent money. Here’s a picture of my biggest check from CashCrate. They’ve never been late with a payment and have options for how you get paid. Sorry the picture is kind of poor quality, it was done with my phone cam, but you can tell it’s legit. If you look close you can see the water marks and company address. The total amount is $724.29, which I made in one month. I believe that was my second check and I was heavily promoting. Also, that month they were giving an extra bonus for any referrals we made.
How to make money with CashCrate
I wanted to give some pointers on making more money with Cash Crate. First off, join and tryout any of the offers you would be interested in. Cashcrate actually gives you money just for trying out new offers from many major companies. I joined a few offers that I was going to join anyways and made a little money. Some of them pay pretty well, while others only pay like 50 cents for joining.
The other way I make money from Cashcrate is participate in any of the surveys or other opportunities that you maybe interested in. I did a few, but I’m not to interested in that sort of thing, so I really didn’t do much. But everyone’s different, you might enjoy or make decent money by some of those methods.

You probably won’t be able to make a full time income with CashCrate, but you can definitely make some decent extra money from home. Cash Crate is a great way for beginners and experienced to create a passive income stream. If you really get involved with Cashcrate, put in a lot of effort and be creative, then the sky’s the limit.
Do You Backup Your WordPress Blog’s?
The other night I started freaking out because I went to my blog and there was no content on it whatsoever. All of my pages and posts were completely gone from my blog. Can you imagine losing your entire blog at any given second? Luckily, awhile back, I started backing up my blog. But I am definitely not a techie and had no idea if I would be able to restore it, or what even had happened in the first place. Did someone hack into my blog, was it a new plugin I added or did I screw up the coding?
I did get just about everything restored on my blog, except for some of the comments. If you recently left a non-spamming comment and you don’t see it, then I didn’t erase it. I wasn’t able to restore it cause I have my WordPress database backup setup to save once per week.

We live in a unpredictable world and your sites could be hacked, or any number of things could happen to them at any given time. I was lucky because I was a little stubborn for the first year or so of internet marketing and I didn’t ever backup any of my work online. Until I had read an article about someone losing their entire blog they had spent a few years on. That scared me and I started Googling for the best way to backup my wordpress blogs.
How I backup my WordPress blogs…
It’s actually really easy to backup a wordpress blog. I installed the WordPress database backup plugin (WP-DB – Backup). This is a really easy plugin to use and has many functions on how and when you want your wordpress blogs backed up. I have mine set to email my backup to me once a week.
How to Restore your WordPress Blog easily…
Since I have very minimal tech skills, I thought it would be really difficult and take a lot of time for me to restore the content on my blog. I found this page Restoring your Database from Backup and followed their straight forward guide. All it took me was a couple minutes and everything was restored like nothing had happened. What’s really cool about restoring your WP blog this way is that even if someone did hack into your WordPress blog, you can restore it through your cpanel in your hosting and it will restore your old password, even if someone hacked into your WP blog and changed the password. Of course change the password once you get back in.
If you aren’t backing up your WordPress blogs and any other work you do online, then one day you could lose all of your hard work. I never thought it would happen to me but since it did, I’m so glad I started backing up my WP blogs. The process to backup and restore a WordPress blog is quick and simple, even for a non-techie like myself.

I Kicked My Own Self out of my Blog
Today is a good day, my internet has finally been cooperating and I can actually get some work done online. For over a week my internet connection has been going in and out every minute. How to Tell if a Backlink is Dofollow or Nofollow
When I first started getting into internet marketing, SEO and building backlinks, I had no idea if a link was dofollow or nofollow. I really didn’t know the difference between either one and just assumed every back-link was helping my site out.
I later learned that a Dofollow link means it allows the search engine spiders to follow the link and pass on some of it’s page rank (PR) to the following site. While a Nofollow link tells the search engine spider to not follow it and passes no pagerank to the following site.
